What is the online version of the JEP? We bring to your PC or Mac a fully electronic edition of your favourite publication. It looks exactly the same as the newsprint version, the pages turn on your mouse click, you can zoom in and out of pages for easy reading, an easy-to-use index lets you jump straight to your favourite sections and you can bookmark pages for easy return. How much is a standard subscription? This costs £12 a month and entitles you to view the online newspaper each day. In addition we give you access to the past seven days including the current day. Are the past editions in my standard subscription searchable? Yes, you can use the full search facilities. What is a pay-as-you-go subscription? There are several parts to the pay-as-you-go subscription. You may purchase a single edition for £1.50 or pre-pay either £10.50 or £21. You can then purchase editions when you want. Each time you do your account is deducted by the cost of that edition. Your purchased edition will last until the next edition of the online newspaper is published. How often can I view my purchased edition? The edition purchased will be available to view as many times as you want until the next online edition is published. Does my pay-as-you-go subscription allow me to purchase past editions? Currently subscribers are not able to do this, but this is a feature we are looking at incorporating at a later date. What is a corporate subscription? The corporate subscription allows 24 hour, 7 days a week access to our archive since it was started. This is a fully searchable archive using keyword(s) and/or date range. The cost for this is £200 a month or £1,500 a year paid annually. For more information or a quote for a longer period email jvarcoe@jerseyeveningpost.com When does the online newspaper become available to view? The online edition of our newspaper becomes available from around 2pm each day, Monday to Friday. On Saturday it is available from 9am. Our online edition allows you to print user selected parts of a page or the whole page. We do not allow cutting and pasting of text due to copyright issues. Is it the complete newspaper or is it just parts of it? Our online edition is the complete newspaper as you would see if you went into a shop and bought a printed copy. You use your mouse to turn the pages. There is an index that allows you to quickly select which section you want to see. Where are the supplements that are inserted in the newspaper? We do not publish the supplements with our online newspaper. They are published separately and available to view for free. Go to www.thisisjersey.com and click on supplements under the Lifestyle banner. Our digital online archive started in February 2006 and grows daily. How do I get access to iViewer? To get access to iViewer simply enter the publication required on the New User panel and click next. Enter your personal details and then select your email address and password, then simply select the subscription package you require. Payment is then made online via a secure payment service. What technical requirements do I need on my computer to run iViewer? Choose System Requirements from the front page menu or click here How do I get the most out of the search engine? 1. The keywords must be longer than three characters and may be separated by the Boolean operators AND, OR, NEAR, NOT (e.g. St Helier and not St Clement or St Brelade or St Clement).
